Saturday Market, Rhubarb and Quince Pie

The closest market to us is the MOM Biopiac, organic market, which is quite lucky, as there is a playground too, apart from the sometimes overpriced but very good local market, so it can be a perfect family program. Also there is the sunny Mom cafe, perfect for sunbathing even on a sunny January day. This week I found some rhubarb unexpectedly, so I tried it combined with quince, and they are very tasty together in a pie crust. It looks to me as Australian recipe, or at least I have only found this combination only on Australian an New Zealander web sites. Just cooked them separately in sugar,water, lemon and spices, and put them in a simple crust made of butter, flour, salt and sugar.
